To prepare the borders of Dog Run, which crosses Clermont Farm and is a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay, for the creation of a 100 foot-wide Conservation Reserve to exclude cattle, parts of it needed to be burned to re-establish native wildlife habitat as part of a “best agricultural and environmental practices” program at Clermont.
